Kristin Cuzzourt is a masters-level therapist, currently working on her state licensure. She uses a person-centered approach, based on her belief that we all have innate strengths & abilities, to work with older teens & adults & LGBTQ+ individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or trauma. Kristin is trained as an EMDR therapist, with plans to pursue advanced training & certification. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association, & EMDRIA, the International Association for EMDR therapists.
Kristin has a background in massage therapy, so body & energy awareness are part of her approach to counseling. She also volunteers her free time to help organize & lead a historical re-creation group which allows her to pursue creative skills & endeavors.
Kristin focuses on working with adolescents and adults to learn skills for coping with depression and anxiety, to help address stress management and life transitions, and to offer a safe place to deal with grief and the grieving process. Kristin also brings an interest and advocacy for LGBTQ and sexuality issues to her work. In the counseling process, Kristin likes to highlight each client's strengths in helping him or her address issues.
