Michael uses trauma-informed and systemic approaches with all of his clients and personalizes the therapy based on their individual needs. He works with kids and adolescents in the context of their families, as well as with individual adults.
He has experience addressing trauma, grief and loss, family and relationship issues, school challenges, identity questions, and sexual exploitation. He is particularly passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community, survivors of religious trauma, and people with multicultural and migration backgrounds.
Michael works with his clients to develop a therapeutic alliance based on safety, trust, and mutual learning. He hopes that in the context of this relationship, clients can start to honor their own stories of hurt and healing and build the practical skills they need to live wholeheartedly.
