Because her clients are often very diverse, Krysten enjoys using many different techniques and modalities for her therapy clients, depending on his or her needs. Her favorite therapy modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).
With Krysten's child therapy clients, she understands that children communicate in much different ways than adults and usually prefer to use play therapy and ARC therapy with appropriate, young clients.
Krysten's hope for all of her clients is that through person-centered therapy, they are able to identify the tools needed to navigate the unique struggles that present in life. Her goal in creating a safe environment is to encourage personal growth by visiting both past and present barriers that are often overlooked because they are difficult. She encourages her clients to find the strengths they already possess so that they may become the most effective person they can be.
