Kara Cheek is a native Nashvillian and a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience counseling children, adolescents, and adults working through life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and addiction. She has an eclectic approach blending the counseling theories of Choice Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She also uses Non-directive Play Therapy with children.
