She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Health, & Society with a double minor in Sociology and Child Development from Vanderbilt University. Currently, she is pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor Mental Health Service Provider. Alyse is dedicated to working with children, adolescents, and adults as they walk through life. She believes in empowering clients through play and traditional talk therapy to enhance their strengths, so that they feel equipped in the midst of their personal and relational challenges. Alyse is passionate about her work and considers it an honor to come alongside clients in the process of healing. She strives to support the emotional and developmental needs of all her clients. Alyse works with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss. Alyse is trained in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Level II and AMSR Suicide Prevention. She has an eclectic approach to counseling pulling from therapy models such as EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, Choice/Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy. Her memberships include the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor’s Society, and the American Counseling Association. In her spare time, Alyse enjoys reading, painting, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. |
